Privacy Policy

Display.io Ltd. (together with its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, consultants, employees, officers and directors, as applicable – collectively “Display.io” or “we” or “us” or “our”) is a mobile ad network enabling the purchase and sale of mobile advertisements and facilitates End Users to view ads through their mobile devices (“Services”). In order to provide relevant advertising, we collect and use specific information.
Display.io respects your right to privacy. Your ability to make informed choices about the uses of your information is important to us. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use and store information and data that we receive. For more detail regarding the terms and conditions for use of Display.io’s website (“Site”), please read our Terms of Use Agreement (“Agreement”), a current copy of which is available at http://www.display.io/termsofuse/.  Words that are capitalized but not defined in this privacy policy have the meaning set forth in the Agreement.
Information We Collect

Publishers

In order to use certain functionality of the Site and Services you may be required to register, either through an email account or through a third-party login service (such as Facebook, Gmail, LinkedIn, etc.). If you register through an email account, we retain your email information. If you register through a third-party login service, we will receive such Personal Information (as defined below) about you as is provided by such third party. Please check the privacy policies of such third parties in order to understand what information we receive. As used in this Privacy Policy. “Personal Information” means information that can be directly associated with a specific person or entity such as a name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, or information about activities directly linked to a person, such as that person’s location. If you are an entity or registering on behalf of an entity, we may collect non-personally identifiable information such as the entity’s VAT number. Generally, we collect information regarding your activity on the Site or Services.

Display.io allows you to customize your information that appears on the Site or Services. We collect any information you provide in such context, as well as any information you provide when you contact us for any reason. We may monitor your IP location or Device ID, if applicable, for the purpose of better providing our Services.

You are not required by law to provide us with any such information, but by using the Site or Services you agree to provide us with such information. You can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information; however, you acknowledge that such refusal may prevent you from engaging in activities on the Site or Services.

End Users

We may automatically collect or receive non-personal information of End Users of an Integrated Application that uses Display.io’s Services, via SDKs or other means, in order to effectively provide our Services. Information we record automatically may include location (including geo-location) as well as information regarding IP address, mobile device (including device identifiers, model, version, etc.) or computer, operating system, mobile network settings, browser and details of any interactions with our Services. In addition, we collect information about the websites and apps the End User visits and/or has installed on his/her mobile device or computer, the End Users’ use of our Services on those websites and apps, as well as information the developer or publisher of the app or website provides to such End User or us. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you undertake to: (i) collect, transfer, and provide us with any information regarding your End Users only in accordance with and subject to applicable law; (ii) notify your End Users of any information you provide us; and (iii) company with Google’s policies for developers, available at https://play.google.com/about/developer-content-policy/.

We may also collect and store End User information stored locally on the End User’s device using mechanisms such as local storage identifiers. These local storage identifiers in no way damage your system or files and we primarily uses these identifiers to optimize our Services and to limit the number of ads you see and deliver more relevant ads to you. We may receive non-personal information or aggregated information from our customers or other third parties. This information may include device information or other information related to the ads we serve through our Services.

How We Use Information

Except as expressly set forth herein, we will not share your Personal Information with third parties without your explicit permission, except when required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order. We may use Personal Information internally, for example, to help diagnose problems with our servers, to make Display.io more useful, to customize and optimize our Services and personalize its content for you and to provide you and End Users with a better user experience. Display.io may use information in order to provide End Users with more relevant ads and limit the number of advertisements they see.

In addition, by analyzing all information we receive, including all information concerning users, we may compile statistical information across a variety of users (“Statistical Information”). Statistical Information helps understand trends and customer needs so that new products and services can be considered and so existing products and services can be tailored to customer desires. Statistical Information is anonymous and we will not link Statistical Information to any Personal Information. We may share such Statistical Information with our partners, without restriction, on commercial terms that we can determine in our sole discretion.

We may provide non-Personal Information that we receive to Google Analytics or other internet and application analytic services in order to receive an analysis of the use of the Site or Services. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this Site or Services, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other websites and/or applications they used prior to coming to ours. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this Site or Services, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Site and Services. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Services or Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use located at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html and the Google Privacy Policy located at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

We keep this collected information as long as it remains necessary to provide our clients with access to and use of the Site and Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Display.io will not share your Personal Information except under any of the following circumstances:
• We can share your personal information with third parties when you have consented to such disclosure.
• We may be required to share information collected with law enforcement agencies or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity, behavior or digital content of any user suspected to have engaged in illegal or infringing behavior. We may also share your Personal Information with third parties if we believe in good faith that disclosure is appropriate to protect our rights, property or safety (including the enforcement of the Agreement and Privacy Policy), or to protect the rights, property or safety of third parties.   • We may disclose your personal information to our personnel, licensors, contractors, service providers and business partners.
    Display.io may also share non-personal information with our clients or other third parties in accordance with this privacy policy.

 

Security & Storage

Display.io follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Display.io limits access to your information on our servers, and it is password-protected/encrypted. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text that is sent to a visitor’s browser. The browser provides this piece of text to the device of the originating visitor when this visitor returns. Display.io uses cookies to help personalize your Display.io experience. A “persistent” cookie may be used to help save your settings and customizations across visits. Also, if you log into Display.io, such a cookie will be used to recognize you as a valid user so you will not need to log in each time you use the Services. Most Web browsers are initially configured to accept cookies, but you can change this setting so your browser either refuses all cookies or informs you when a cookie is being sent. Also, you are free to delete any existing cookies at any time. Please note that some features of the Site or Services may not function properly when cookies are disabled or removed.

Third Party Sites and Services

Portions of the Site or Services may involve linking to or using web sites or services belonging to third parties. We have no control over third-party sites or services, and all use of third-party sites or services is at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for the privacy policies of any such sites. We are not responsible for content or available by means of such sites or services. Display.io does not endorse any products or services offered by third parties and we urge our users to exercise caution in using third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. The Site and our SDK are not intended and/or directed to persons under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under that age has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information from our servers. Communications and Opting Out

We may send you e-mail or other messages about us or our Services. By accepting the Agreement (including the terms of this Privacy Policy which are incorporated therein) or using the Site or Services, you affirmatively consent to receive such commercial messages.  As a registered user, you can remove your personal information from our mailing list and stop receiving future communication from us by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication or by emailing us at contact@display.io.  You will also be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from commercial messages in any such e-mail or message we send.  Please note that we reserve the right to send you service-related communications, including service announcements and administrative messages, relating either to your account or to your transactions on the Site or Services, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them unless you cancel your account.

You have a right to request that Display.io will delete any of your personal information in our possession by sending us an email to: contact@display.io. We will delete your information within 30 days of receipt of your request, provided however, that we may retain a copy of certain information for audit and record-keeping purposes. We cannot restore information once it has been deleted and some information deletion requests would require us to deactivate your account.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Display.io reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time – we encourage you to review it periodically. The Privacy Policy, as modified, shall appear on our Site. Your continued use of our Site or Services is acknowledgement of your acceptance of these changes.
